Greuther Fürth 4-0 Osnabrück
Goals: 1-0 Green (45’), 2-0 Sieb (47’), 3-0 Abiama (74’), 4-0 Lemperle (75’)

Greuther Fürth piled the pressure on struggling Osnabrück with a fully deserved 4-0 win at the Sportpark Ronhof. The Bavarians could even afford the luxury of missing a penalty through Branimir Hrgota while still winning in convincing fashion. Julian Green got them on their way to victory after Hrgota’s penalty miss, sending a direct free-kick into the corner. Armindo Sieb’s deflected shot doubled their advantage early in the second half and Dickson Abiama turned in Hrgota’s assist to make it three with Tim Lemperle putting the cherry on top within a minute.

Eintracht Braunschweig 1-4 Fortuna Düsseldorf
Goals: 0-1 Tzolis (12’), 0-2 Vermeij (15’), 1-2 Krüger (59’), 1-3 Siebert (63’), 1-4 Tanaka (90’+8)

Fortuna Düsseldorf kept their promotion push going with a convincing 4-1 win at Eintracht Braunschweig, who remain rooted to the foot of the table. Christos Tzolis gave the guests an ideal start with Vincent Vermeij doubling their advantage inside the first 15 minutes. Although Florian Krüger gave the hosts hope on the hour mark, Jamil Sieber restored Fortuna’s two-goal advantage just five minutes later and Ao Tanaka completed the win in the last minute. Fortuna also had three further goals ruled out by VAR for offside, underlining their superiority not only on the night, but over much of the current season so far.

St. Pauli 2-1 Karlsruhe
Goals: 0-1 Matanovic (43’), 1-1 Eggestein (80’), 2-1 Treu (90’+2)

A stunning last-gasp winner from Philipp Treu kept St Pauli on top of Bundesliga 2 as they came from behind to beat Karlsruhe at the Millerntor. Igor Matanovic stunned the stadium into silence just before half-time, putting the guests in front with a goal which he, as a former Pauli player for 13 years, could not bring himself to celebrate. Pauli continued to be frustrated by their guests as they sought an equaliser, but Karlsruher’s resistance was broken with just 10 minutes left by a stroke of genius. Johannes Eggestein took Connor Metcalfe’s cross down on his chest before sweeping the ball in on the turn. Treu then hammered in a winner to send the home fans wild in stoppage time, and restore Pauli to their place at the top of the table.

Hertha Berlin 3-1 Paderborn
Goals: 1-0 Tabakovic (11’), 2-0 Kenny (45’+3), 2-1 Muslija (47’), 3-1 Tabakovic (55’)
Red card: Leistner (86’)

Two goals from Haris Tabakovic earned ten-man Hertha Berlin a 3-1 win over Paderborn, taking the Old Lady into the top ten on Matchday 11. Tabakovic gave Hertha an early led, turning in Fabian Reese’s cross, and Jonjoe Kenny doubled the hosts’ lead in first-half stoppage time. Hertha were the made to defend as Florent Muslija reduced the arrears, but Tabakovic’s second eased their nerves. A red card for Toni Leistner left them suffering for the final five minutes, but Hertha held on for the points.

Schalke 3-2 Hannover
Goals: 1-0 Lasme (42’), 1-1 Leopold (52’), 2-1 Tempelmann (72’), 3-1 Karaman (77’), 3-2 Halstenberg (90’, pen.)

Struggling Schalke picked up a much-needed boost with a 3-2 win over Hannover putting some daylight between them and the bottom two. Bryan Lasme gave the Royal Blues the lead just before the break, volleying the ball in powerfully. Enzo Leopold brought Hannover level early in the second half, but Lino Tempelmann restored Schalke’s lead with a shot from just outside the penalty area. Kenan Karaman beat Ron-Robert Zieler in a one-on-one to give Schalke a cushion, and they needed it too as a Marcel Halstenberg penalty in the last minute made them sweat for three precious points.

Kaiserslautern 3-3 Hamburg
Goals: 0-1
Glatzel (10'), 1-1 Tomiak (13'), 2-1 Ritter (24'), 3-1 Boyd (54'), 3-2 Glatzel (65'), 3-3 Muheim (73')

Kaiserslautern were left frustrated after coming from a goal down to lead 3-1, before letting Hamburg back into the game in the closing stages to draw 3-3. Robert Glatzel put the visitors in front early on with his seventh league goal of the season, but it was soon cancelled out by Boris Tomiak's low drive following a corner. The Red Devils went in front through goals from Marlon Ritter and Terence Boyd, but there was more drama still to come. Glatzel pulled a goal back for HSV from a tight angle before a mistake from Lautern goalkeeper Julian Krahl allowed Miro Muheim to score and take a point for HSV.

Holstein Kiel 0-2 Nuremberg
Goals: 0-1 Handwerker (68'), 0-2 Uzun (77')

Nuremberg moved within three points of the top three thanks to a hard-earned win in Kiel. A solid defence laid the foundation for the success, with the home side unable to breakdown their stubborn rearguard. Second-half goals from Tim Handwerker and Can Yilmaz Uzun were enough for Der Club to collect their fifth win of the season.

Magdeburg 1-2 Elversberg
Goals: 0-1
Rochelt (12'), 0-2 Neubauer (35'), 1-2 Krempicki (70')

Elversberg extended their unbeaten run to seven games with victory away to an off-colour Magdeburg side. Jannik Rochelt finished off a swift counter-attack to put the promoted side in front early on and when Maurice Neubauer doubled the visitors' advantage, it looked like game over for a Mabdeburg side who had plenty of possession but little by way of purpose or incision in the final third. Connor Krempicki did pull a goal back in the second half, but the hosts were unable to find an equaliser, slipping down to 13th place as a result.

Wehen Wiesbaden 1-0 Hansa Rostock
Goals: 1-0
Prtajin (89')

Ivan Prtajin struck a last-gasp winner for Wiesbaden to lift his side five points clear of the relegation zone, simulatneously sharpening the sense of danger in the Rostock camp. The result means away side have now lost three on the bounce in Bundesliga 2, and six of their last seven.
