Musiala's mum takes Bayern starlet to training
Jamal Musiala may be giving Bundesliga defences the runaround this season, but Bayern Munich's teenage starlet still needs his mum to drop him off to train alongside Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer.
The 18-year-old has become an established member of the European and Bundesliga champions' first-team squad this season, scoring three times in 17 top-flight appearances so far.
Musiala recently signed a five-year contract at Bayern, but despite having penned his first professional deal, he still cannot drive himself to work.
Instead, the former Chelsea youth academy prospect has had to rely on his mother, Carolin, to take him to Bayern's Säbener Strasse training centre in her Volkswagen Polo.
"So far I've been very happy that my mum has been so nice as to drive me to training," Musiala told Sport Bild. "I'm currently working towards getting my driving licence and I'm really looking forward to driving myself soon."
When Musiala finally passes his driving test, he is not too worried - unlike many others in the game - about which car he gets, noting "as long as it goes and has a good music system."
