Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was on target for Bayern Munich in their pre-season friendly draw with Ajax.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was among the goals as Bayern Munich drew 2-2 with Dutch champions Ajax in the second pre-season friendly of the Julian Nagelsmann era on Saturday.

Bayern Munich 2-2 Ajax
Goals: 0-1
Labyad (10'), 1-1 Choupo-Moting (40'), 2-1 Nianzou (48'), 2-2 Jensen (50')

As it happened!

FULL TIME!
The referee blows his whistle and it's all over, Bayern and Ajax draw 2-2.

89' ULREICH AGAIN!
Ajax look to be in to get a winner after Ekkelenkamp's run is found by an excellent pass, but Ulreich darts off his line to make a good save.

85' AJAX SUB
Ekkelenkamp replaces Tadic.

84' OPENING FOR AJAX
The away side have plenty of room to work in as Berghuis strides forward with purpose. His cross into the middle is dangerous, but Lawrence is on hand to clear for Bayern.

80' WENIG ALMOST IN
Tillman threads a lovely ball between two Ajax defenders on the edge of the box, trying to free Wenig, but his pass is just too strong and Pasveer is able to collect.

76' ULREICH THWARTS TADIC
The Ajax attacker is played into space down the left. He cuts inside onto his right foot and curls a powerful shot towards the far post, but Ulreich anticipates his intentions and makes another good sotp.

72' SUPERB SAVE FROM ULREICH
A long cross from the left is floated into the Bayern box and Berghuis is completely unmarked at the back post. He has time to chest the ball down and settle himself for a left-footed shot, but Ulreich reacts well and makes a fine stop.

68' STILL SETTLING
All of those substitutions have obviously stilted the flow of the game somewhat, with the newcomers trying to get up to speed at the moment.

65' DOUBLE CHANGE FOR AJAX
Blind and Berghuis are now on, replacing Neres and Taylor.

64' NEW FACES
Motika, Brückner, Wenig, Vidovic, Tillman, Vita, Arrey-Mbi, Lawrence, Mamedova and Mosandl are now all on the pitch for Bayern.

61' WHOLESALE CHANGES FOR BAYERN
Nagelsmann is replacing every outfield player, with Ulreich the only one staying on. It'll take a little while, but we'll bring you confirmation of all the changes as soon as possible!

58' UPAMECANO HEADS WIDE
A bayern corner from the left is whipped into the box, but Upamecano can only steer his header wide of the back post.

56' BAYERN MUCH IMPROVED
The Reds already look much better than they did in the first half and are playing with greater aggression, determination and intent when going forward. You get the sense there are still more goals to come here.

53' CHANCE FOR BAYERN ON THE COUNTER
Bayern burst forward after an Ajax move breaks down and Choupo-Moting sprints into the opposition half. Sieb is to his right and just needs the ball played into his path to be clean through on goal, but Choupo-Moting takes rather too long and Sieb is eventually flagged for offside.

50' AJAX EQUALISE!
Bayern's lead doesn't last long! An Ajax free-kick from the left is only half-cleared to the edge of the Bayern box, where half-time substitute Jensen is waiting. He takes a touch before lashing in a low shot into the bottom corner.

48' GOAL! NIANZOU PUTS BAYERN AHEAD!
Just moments after Sarr had a goal-bound header well saved by Pasveer, Bayern find the net again. Cuisance finds Rhein wide on the left and his curling cross into the middle is met by Nianzou, who heads in from inside the six-yard box.

SECOND HALF!
We're underway again as Bayern get the ball rolling once more.

HALF-TIME!
Bayern really should be ahead after that gilt-edged opportunity for Zirkzee, although a 2-1 lead would have flattered them somewhat. Ajax were the better side for the first 30 minutes or so and were 1-0 up thanks to Labyad's early goal, but Bayern grew into the game as time wore on and managed to level through Choupo-Moting.

43' ZIRKZEE MUST SCORE... BUT NO!
The young forward does superbly to pressure the visiting defence, win the ball and go around Pasveer. He's got an open goal and only needs to tap the ball in, but he takes too long and Schuurs makes a stunning recovery tackle to poke the ball away right on the line!

40' CHOUPO-MOTING LEVELS!
Ajax struggle to clear a Bayern attack and Sarr is first to a loose ball inside the box. He drives into space on the left and quickly pulls a cross back into the middle, where Choupo-Moting arrives to stroke home from close range.

37' RHEIN HAS A GO
Bayern are starting to get into the game a bit more now and have another chance as the ball is worked to Rhein, about 12 yards out. The box is crowded but he still gets a shot away. Pasveer is well placed to save once again though.

32' POSITIVE FROM RICHARDS
Nianzou makes an interception in the centre circle and quickly plays the ball to Richards, who surges forward and infield from left-back. He gets to the edge of the Ajax area and gets a shot away, but it's straight at Pasveer.

27' UPAMECANO ROBS HALLER
Haller receives the ball near the edge of the Bayern area, but Upamecano is so tight on him he forces him back a good 20 metres before getting a toe on the ball to poke away any danger.

24' VISITORS ON TOP
Ajax have looked the better side so far, with Nagelsmann's charges labouring to make any serious inroads in attack, while they've been caught out a couple of times at the back.

21' AJAX ALMOST GET A SECOND
Another attack from Ajax and it's nearly 2-0 as Neres pops up in space. His shot beats Ulreich but rolls just wide of the far post.

17' FIRST REAL CHANCE FOR BAYERN
The Reds have struggled to click going forward so far but this was nice from Sieb, who drives with purpose down the right before drilling a low cross into the box, where he finds Richards arriving at full sprint. He gets a toe on it, but the ball goes straight at Pasveer in the Ajax goal.

16' ULREICH AGAIN
Gravenberch finds room in a central position, about 30 yards from goal. He's given time and space to stride forward and unleash a swerving effort at Ulreich, but the goalkeeper sees it all the way and dives to his right to keep it out.

13' GOOD SAVE FROM ULREICH
Ajax get forward well again down the left and a cross is floated towards the back post, where Neres is lurking. He places a firm header back across goal, but Ulreich makes amends for his part in the goal by sticking out his right arm and making a solid block before gathering at the second attempt.

10' GOAL! AJAX LEAD!
Ulreich's attempted pass out from the back towards Sarr is intercepted and the ball is quickly played to Haller in the Bayern box. He draws a defender towards him before flicking it to Labyad, who's left with a simple tap-in.

7' SIEB ALMOST IN!
The first hint of a chance in the game as Choupo-Moting is released into space down the left. The ball is worked into the middle and towards the back post, where Sieb is arriving. He takes a touch away from his marker, but just as he's about to shoot another Ajax defender slides in to block.

6' UPAMECANO ASSURED
Bayern's new French centre-back has looked good so far, his pace and strength already snuffing out a couple of promising openings for Ajax.

3' AJAX PRESSING HIGH
The visitors have begun aggressively here, attacking Bayern high up the pitch and keeping them pegged back in their own half.

KICK-OFF!
Here we go! Ajax get the ball rolling in Munich!

WELCOME!
Bayern's Allianz Arena provides the stage as Nagelsmann's side take on Ajax!

Team news

Lewandowski is one of a clutch of first-team players still on holiday after playing at UEFA Euro 2020. The Poland international scored three goals in as many games at the finals, adding to his Bundesliga single-season record 41 strikes for nine-in-a-row champions Bayern. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting led the line in the 32-year-old's absence a week ago as Bayern slipped to a narrow 3-2 defeat to Cologne, though it was teenager Armindo Sieb and Dutchman Joshua Zirkzee with the goals in Nagelsmann's first assignment since replacing Hansi Flick as head coach. There were also debuts for summer signings Dayot Upamecano and Omar Richards, both of whom start in what is a largely unchanged line-up, with the exception of Tanguy Nianzou. The former Paris Saint-Germain youngster was a half-time substitute last time out, but is involved from the get-go at the Allianz Arena. Alphonso Davies, Lucas Hernandez and Marc Roca are unavailable through injury.

Ajax are further along in their pre-season preparations, having already recorded wins over Koninklijke, Paderborn and Anderlecht. Head coach Erik ten Hag oversaw his second Dutch league-and-cup double last term, the former Bayern reserves coach emulating the class of 2018/19 in only his third full season in charge. Sebastien Haller is another familiar face in the Ajax camp. The France-born Ivory Coast international striker scored 24 goals across a two-season stint at Eintracht Frankfurt between 2017 and 2019, whilst getting his hands on the DFB Cup and September 2017 Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award. He produced 11 goals in 19 Eredivisie appearances after making the switch to Ajax from English Premier League outfit West Ham United in January. Up to 500 spectators could be in attendance for the Audi Summer Tour fixture in the Bavarian capital, where the record Dutch champions have not won in five attempts.
