Bayern equal goals record in St. Pauli win
Late goals from Luis Díaz and Nicolas Jackson ensured Bayern Munich remained at the Bundesliga summit for a record 44th consecutive matchday after beating St. Pauli - but Vincent Kompany’s side already have another benchmark in their sights.
Díaz’s stoppage-time header from Joshua Kimmich’s delivery put Bayern ahead for the first time at the Allianz Arena, after Raphaël Guerreiro had cancelled out Andréas Hountondji’s early opener on the stroke of half-time.
The Colombian’s effort means Bayern have now scored multiple goals in 20 consecutive Bundesliga games, equalling the previous top-flight record set by the Bavarians under Pep Guardiola during the 2013/14 campaign.

Nicolas Jackson completed the scoring in Munich, beating the offside trap and firing beyond Nikola Vasilj three minutes after Díaz’s header.
The victory lifted Bayern eight points clear of second-placed RB Leipzig, who were held to a goalless draw by Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday.
It also means Kompany’s charges have spent more consecutive matchdays at the summit than Udo Lattek’s legendary Bayern outfit, who enjoyed 43 successive matchdays in top spot between 1972 and 1973.
