Bayern Munich lost their final friendly as part of their summer 2022 US tour to a debut goal from Manchester City's Erling Haaland.
Bayern: Neuer (c) - Pavard, Upamecano, Hernandez, Davies - Kimmich, Sabitzer - Sane, Müller, Coman - Gnabry
Man City: Ederson - Cancelo, Wilson-Esbrand, Dias, Ake - Rodrigo, De Bruyne (c), Bernardo - Mahrez, Haaland, Grealish
City pick off a Bayern mistake, but substitute Cole Palmer sends his shot from 18 yards wide. Ulreich was beaten.
Wanner does really well to move inside and dig out a pass into the feet of Vidovic. The first touch is treat, but the finish is wayward. Great promise from the Bayern youngsters, mind.
Kimmich and Hernandez have gone into the book in recent minutes. Signs of frustration from the record champions - they haven't had too much joy going forward today.
De Bruyne travels a long way, with Kimmich snapping at his heels. He eventually lays the ball off to Mahrez, whose first-time shot from inside the area is beaten up into the Green Bay air by Ulreich.
Müller throws himself at the ensuing set-piece, and Bayern can clear their lines.
The Bayern man escapes a booking after catching Grealish with a stray boot. City will have a free-kick in a dangerous position, 20 yards from goal and central, when play resumes, though...
Bayern counter at speed with Sane. He hangs up a back-post cross for Mazraoui, who doesn't quite have the height to make anything of it.
Neuer is made to work at his near post following a driving run and shot from Wilson-Esbrand. Strong wrists from the Bayern skipper.
Davies with a superb pass up to Gnabry, before going on the overlap to collect the return ball. He tries to pick out a white shirt in the centre, but the cross is blocked.
Alvarez scampers in off the left and gets a shot off from inside the box... wide!
Ulreich and Mazraoui are on for Neuer and Coman as the second half gets going. Haaland's gone off for City, with Julian Alvarez his replacement.
Bayern trail at the break to Haaland's 12th-minute goal. We'll have a quick turnaround after the earlier delay, followed by another 40-minute half. Bayern have had the ball in the net and chances, so there's plenty for Nagelsmann to work with.
Tight margins as the linesman's flag denies Haaland a second goal.
Bayern's best opening yet as Davies returns a clearance with interest. Gnabry's on the stretch at the back post, but can't turn the Canadian's cross home.
No! The City No.9 side-foots Grealish's pass across the Bayern box goalwards, but a deflection off Upamecano sends the ball spinning wide.
Let-off for Bayern as Rodrigo heads wide from a corner. He was completely unmarked, too.
Bayern with a rapid transition after a City attack breaks down. Müller weights a fabulous ball into the feet of Gnabry, whose touch lets him down on the edge of the area.
Coman shows a great piece of control on the edge of the City box, before being sent to ground under Ruben Dias's questionable challenge. The referee is unmoved, however.
The Bayern press forces a mistake in the City half. Sabitzer collects a good 30 yards from goal and, having scored against DC United, arrows a fierce effort just past the upright.
An uncharacteristically loose pass from Kimmich sets Haaland away. The ex-Dortmund striker races into the box, but opts to square the ball rather than shoot, and Upamecano is able to put in a superb recovery challenge.
Ake gets up to meet a corner, the City defender heading comfortable over Neuer's goal.
City aim long for Haaland. He's in behind, but Neuer is out of his area to take control of the situation.
Bayern get the game going again at the 12th-minute mark, following that lengthy suspension due to local storms. They trail to Haaland's debut goal as a City player...
Bayern will head back to Germany after the game. The record champions then have less than a week to prepare for their first competitive assignment of 2022/23 - next Saturday's Supercup against DFB Cup holders RB Leipzig. They begin the defence of their Bundesliga title away to UEFA Europa League-winning Eintracht Frankfurt on 5 August.
We've just been told that the restart is another 12 minutes away, as the players go through warm-up drills all over again. The rain is still coming down, but the organisers are determined to give the fans their money's worth.
The Bayern players are back on the pitch, much to the delight of the 78,121 supporters in attendance.
The fans have flooded back into the stadium. It looks like we have a game yet...
The players head off as another storm brews. The clouds are almost black...
City take the lead in Green Bay. A free-kick is cleared to De Bruyne on the edge of the area. He shapes to shoot, but instead slips a pass to Grealish in the box. The England international sells Upamecano dummy, before crossing into the six-yard box, where Haaland slides in for a debut goal.
Sane pings over a cross from that left. Ederson gets a hand to it, but it's not the most convincing attempt at a clearance. Luckily for him, Coman can't do anythng with the loose ball. Lively start!
Gnabry feeds Müller, who finishes past Ederson from inside the box, but a late flag goes up for offside.
City come again as Sabitzer's headed clearance from a corner falls only as far as Grealish on the edge of the box. He connects first time, but fires wide of Neuer's near post.
Grealish plays in De Bruyne, who has Upamecano on the backfoot. The Belgian takes aim from 18 yards, but doesn't trouble Neuer.
Thomas Müller gets the ball rolling in Green Bay, as the rain restarts. Further weather interruptions are likely...
Bayern step out in their new away strip of white with gold trim. Will it be all white on the night for the record champions on Nagelsmann's birthday?
There's suddenly a lot of movement in the stands, as fans re-emerge after taking cover inside the bowels of the 81,000-capacity Lambeau Field, which is set to play host to a game of soccer for the first time.
Local regulations mean a sporting event cannot start until three minutes after the conclusion of a storm. It's five minutes past the hour, and we still have dark clouds overhead...
With temperatures pushing 30C in Wisconsin of late, a clear-the-air storm is on its way. No just any storm: severe weather warnings are in place, meaning kick-off has been delayed until further notice.
Bayern kicked off their Audi Summer Tour to the USA in some style with a 6-2 thrashing of DC United on Wednesday evening. And it took Mane just five minutes to net his first goal for the club since his switch from Liverpool, hammering home a penalty to open the scoring. Marcel Sabitzer and Serge Gnabry also got on the scoresheet in the first half as Julian Nagelsmann trialled a new formation with a fluid front three, following the departure of striker Robert Lewandowski. Among the raft of changes made for the second half, the club’s latest arrival, Matthijs de Ligt, was also handed a debut, only he netted inside 100 seconds with a well struck volley from a corner. The Dutch defender got just half an hour after all his travelling, but will be hoping for more in this second and final friendly. Mane won't be featuring in this game, however, having returned to Munich after picking up the African Player of the Year award in Morocco on Thursday. Bayern themselves head back home after this match to begin preparing for the season-opening Supercup against RB Leipzig the following Saturday.
Haaland didn’t feature in Man City’s opening tour game as they beat Club America 2-1 in Houston thanks to a brace from ex-Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen man Kevin de Bruyne. The Norwegian striker, who left Borussia Dortmund this summer, would probably have hoped to make his debut in blue against another club, having lost all seven of his competitive appearances to Bayern thus far in his career. The champions of England are without several key players on this tour, including Germany international Ilkay Gündogan, but do boast another summer arrival from the Bundesliga in goalkeeper Stefan Ortega from Arminia Bielefeld. Ex-Bayern boss Pep Guardiola’s only previous encounters with his former club came in the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals with Barcelona. It all makes for a special occasion as the 81,000-capacity Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers, hosts a soccer match for the first time.
