Defending Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have released a new kit that will be worn in the upcoming 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.
Bayern have attempted to capture the club and Munich’s history with the new design. It features a black jersey with shades of green and red around the sleeves and collar.
The current Bayern logo has been replaced with the historic logo from the 1920s, with the familiar Adidas logo also being replaced by a more retro counterpart.
The slogan “From the South. From the Heart.” appears inside the jersey, and the hem is adorned with a monument and inscription “Greetings from the Town Hall Balcony”.
There is also a reference to Marienplatz, the plaza in the city centre where Bayern players go to celebrate their successes with their fans.
The goalkeeping third kit is of a similar design, including the more retro elements, but is instead red and white and without the extra colours around the sleeves and collar.
Bayern’s new jersey is available from the club shop, priced from €100 for adults and €75 for children.
It will make its first appearance on 7 August when the Bavarians take on Tottenham in a friendly at the Allianz Arena. Their competitive season starts on 16 August when they face DFB Cup winners VfB Stuttgart in the curtain-raising Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
