Bayern Munich have completed the signing of Michael Cuisance from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The record champions confirmed on Saturday that the France U20 midfielder, who made 11 Bundesliga appearances last season, has moved to the club from Gladbach.
His signing comes after Bayern confirmed that Brazil international Philippe Coutinho will join the club on a season-long loan from Barcelona, pending a medical.
"Michael's strengths are in his possession of the ball," Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told the club website. "He has a great technique, a strong left foot and a great mentality."
Cuisance moved to Gladbach from the Nancy U19s in summer 2017. He was named the Foals' Player of the Season after registering two assists in 24 Bundesliga outings in 2017/18, but started just one of his 11 league appearances last term.
The 20-year-old Strasbourg native, who missed Gladbach's DFB Cup first-round win over Sandhausen last week through injury, has won 46 caps at youth international level with France.
Cuisance is the third Frenchman to join Bayern during the summer 2019 transfer window, after 2018 FIFA World Cup-winning pair Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard.
France internationals Kingsley Coman and Corentin Tolisso have been at the club since 2015 and 2017 respectively.
