Borussia Dortmund have left Asia after their pre-season tour of Thailand and Japan. Following defeat to BG Pathum United FC in Bangkok, Nuri Şahin's side beat Cerezo Osaka 3-2 in their final friendly; Karim Adeyemi scoring twice and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens also on target for the Black-and-Yellows.
Dortmund landed in Osaka for the second leg of a tour of Asia and as the UEFA Champions League finalists visited Japan, they earned their first win of pre-season.
BVB faced off against club legend Shinji Kagawa, who won the Bundesliga title with Şahin and assistant coach Łukasz Piszczek in 2011, and Osaka scored twice after his substitution.

A first friendly in Bangkok on 21 July saw current Thai league cup winners BG Pathum United secure a 4-0 win - with a legends meeting taking place at the BG stadium in the build-up. They returned from Japan on 25 July following a successful tour.
Dortmund CEO Carsten Cramer said: "We are happy to continue the tradition of our trips abroad in the summer of 2024. We know that we have many fans in Asia, so we are very happy to be visiting there again this time. With Bangkok and Osaka we have also found two special venues that we have not visited before."

The tour as it happened:
Brazilian Yan Couto has signed from Manchester City and will provided much needed depth at full-back for Dortmund. Couto, 22, spent last season on loan at Girona, who qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.
Pascal Groß's signing completes a career ambition for the midfielder, who was such a big fan of the club growing up that he took it upon himself to re-decorate his bedroom, telling the official club website: "One day my parents asked themselves why it was so quiet in my room for once. I had just grabbed some paint and simply painted the black and yellow pennant onto the wallpaper."
Dortmund will welcome Germany international Pascal Groß into their pre-season preparations following his signing from Brighton.
With Dortmund's tour of Japan now over, they look ahead to their next pre-season game which will take place in Altach, against LaLiga side Villarreal.
Borussia Dortmund ended their tour of Asia with a 3-2 win over a Cerezo Osaka side that included BVB legend Shinji Kagawa.
Luhrs' evening is ended prematurely with a bloodied nose, Hettwer replaces him.
And they have a decent case. Goalscorer Uejo is found in the box is free to shoot, but Meiser takes him down from behind.
Uejo hits a free kick from range and boy does it hit it. It sneaks just wide of the near post with Meyer completely beaten. That would have been 3-3.
It's another good save, this time from Osaka's Yang on Brunner.
Meyer can't do anything about that one! It's Sakata's time for a curler, but instead tricks the goalkeeper by going for the near post instead, and he finds it brilliantly from range.
It's goal-scorer Shibayama's turn for a curler, and Meyer again tips a goal-bound effort just around the post.
It's another cut in and shoot effort, this time from Osaka, and it looks destined for the bottom corner before Meyer tips it behind. He also saves from the follow-up corner.
Duranville makes a nice run in from the left hand side, beats his man with piece of skill and flashes a shot wide.
A nice passing move sees Kitano found in space down the left and he makes his way into the Dortmund box, seeing his shot saved and his second parried into danger. Shibayama is there to latch on and fire in first time.
Despite Adeyemi's two goals, Ryerson will likely be Sahin's Man of the Match. The Norwegian right-back has been working and pressing tirelessly throughout, showing his Bundesliga consistency and reliability even in pre-season.
BVB also shake things up, with young talents Brunner and Duranville making their way on.
Kagawa makes his way on after a hug from Sahin and cheers go up around the stadium. The BVB legend has a big grin on his face.
With a 3-0 lead, Dortmund are in practice mode as they try to play through the middle more effectively, and have some luck, going from one box to the other with a nice passing move.
Tim Rothe continues to impress at left-back after a fine season on loan at Holstein Kiel, there's a chance the Germany youth international could make the place his own.
Ryerson sets up Adeyemi with a nice run down the right but the Germany international is denied by the goalkeeper with two close-range efforts.
The second half kicks off with Moukoko in place of Haller. Osaka make six changes but there's still no sign of Kagawa, with Osaka making eight changes.
A period of not much happening is punctured by a nice exchange as Ryerson lays the ball off to Brandt and today's captain fires a lovely shot just wide.
Capixaba is found in the box and Meyer flies out to meet him, he makes the save and although the ball dribbles through, Lurhrs is there to clear the danger.
Adeyemi flashes a shot just wide of the post and a flying Haller just misses tapping it in at the back stick.
Osaka get a taste of Adeyemi's pace in devastating style as he flies past Shindo to collect a ball forward and slot home. Wow that was fast.
Bynoe-Gittens knocks the ball past Shindo and looks second best to recover it, but he blasts past the defender, takes the ball wide, cuts back in and curls an unstoppable effort into the bottom corner. Wow!
Brandt picks out Haller in the box and his flick-on falls to Adeyemi who blasts into the top of the net from close range.
Haller his a cross into the box first time from a decent angle but it's straight at the goalkeeper.
After his earlier save, Meyer does well to fly out and stop a dangerous cross.
Both teams are settling into the match now, with Nmecha heading over from a corner.
Nmecha fires a long range effort well over the bar before Hiroaki Okuno goes closer and earns a corner.
This will be another examination of Sahin's hopes of playing more through the middle of the pitch, with Osaka starting the game with a very intense press.
And then another. Both are easily dealt with, though.
Dortmund kick us off and instantly do something they struggled with last time out and play the ball from defence through midfield with ease.
Kim Jin-Hyeon - Okuda, Toriumi, Hirano, Shindo - Yamada, Tameda, Okuno - Vitor Bueno, Leo Ceara, Capixaba.
Meyer - Ryerson, Süle, Lührs, Rothe - Nmecha, Azhil - Bynoe-Gittens, Brandt (c), Adeyemi - Haller.
"I didn't expect it to turn out like that, as I'd watched the training sessions, which were very intense. Nuri really made the most of every minute, the team pulled together well. They were very intense sessions, long sessions, and it all looked very good. We flew straight to Osaka after the game and that's when you see the coaches talking and discussing with each other, analysing the game with the players in front of their laptops. They are very open and critical about it and after our third friendly match we know what we need to work on."
Dortmund are getting ready for their third pre-season fixture today. They'll be looking for a first exhibition win of the campaign after a 1-1 draw against Aue and 4-0 defeat to BG Pathum United.
"It's a special club. We achieved very good things like a Bundesliga and Pokal, I'm very, very happy when I look back at Dortmund, it's just good memories. It was the best feeling of my career playing in the Signal Iduna Park, I'm very proud that I played there. I still follow every game."
