Nuri Şahin (head coach): "It's the biggest game in Germany. These games have their own rules - it doesn't matter where you are in the table. Obviously, Bayern are well clear of us, but we want to close the gap. We've no reason not to be confident. We're at home, where we've won all our games. They play with a high defensive line and don't give away many chances. We have to exploit the spaces. We need to be brave. We know what we have to do to win."
Gregor Kobel (goalkeeper): "It was a dominant performance against Zagreb in the Champions League, but now it's about the Bundesliga. We're looking forward to the game against Bayern. That will be a real battle."
Lars Ricken (sporting director): "It's the biggest game of the Bundesliga season so far, between the two biggest teams in the league. It's one game, and I believe we have the quality to beat them. It doesn't matter about the league standings; it's about how you perform on the day. With our fans behind us, we've shown that we can win games together. It's intimidating for teams in our stadium with our fans. That can take some energy away from the opposition, and that extra few percent can make a difference."

Vincent Kompany (head coach): "It's Der Klassiker. The games are followed around the world. The fans in Dortmund have always played their part, and we're preparing to face the best version of [Dortmund]. When they're on their game, they press really high. They're always dangerous on the counter. They have quality out wide. When they're in top form, they're also very good in the build-up, but we have enough experience. The players have shown they can handle games like this. We want to win. The best players need to be ready for the game."
Thomas Müller (forward): "I don't think it's necessarily because of the game itself, but also because the two sets of fans are especially passionate. The rivalry has a long history, with both teams always competing for titles. For that reason, Dortmund have always been my biggest German rival."

Max Eberl (board member for sport): "We all know what it's about in the stands in Dortmund, but we can also go there with confidence and we want to try to keep a clean sheet and win. You just look forward to it because you've always watched Der Klassiker as a fan and they've always been special games."
Christoph Freund (sporting director): "It's a big and really important game. We want to win in Dortmund. The game against PSG was really important. The one against Dortmund is the biggest in German football over recent years. Then on Tuesday it's about progression in the DFB Cup. They're really important games in one week."
