Borussia Dortmund are aiming to take a big step towards automatic qualification for the UEFA Champions League last 16 when they welcome Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt to Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday (kick-off: 9pm CET).

One of five teams currently on 10 points, Dortmund occupy sixth place in the 36-team league-phase table. They have found the net four times in four of their five matches so far, losing only to Manchester City in early November.

Niko Kovač's team were beaten by Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Cup last week but go into their first-ever meeting with Bodø/Glimt on the back of an impressive 2-0 victory over in-form Hoffenheim, who had been on a six-match unbeaten Bundesliga run prior to Sunday's visit to Signal Iduna Park.

Centre-back Niklas Süle is Dortmund's only confirmed absentee as he continues his recovery from a toe injury. At the other end of the pitch, striker Serhou Guirassy - the Champions League's joint-top scorer in 2024/25 - will look to pick up where he left off last time out against Villarreal, having scored twice in a resounding 4-0 victory over the Yellow Submarine.

Bodø/Glimt have yet to taste victory in the league phase but Lady Luck has not always been on their side. The four-time Eliteserien winners conceded late in a 2-2 draw at home to 2024 UEFA Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur, and in a 3-2 defeat to Italian giants Juventus. Kjetil Knutsen's side head to Dortmund four points adrift of the knockout phase play-off places.
