However, the earliest the two Bundesliga teams can meet is in the semi-finals, and that's only if one finishes first and the other second in their respective groups. After the group stage, the top two teams from each group will progress to the knockout phase, which will commence with the round of 16. The round of 16 will take place from 28 June to 1 July, followed by the quarter-finals on 4 and 5 July and the semi-finals on 8 and 9 July. The grand final at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will kick off on 13 July at 9pm CET.
