Bundesliga
Jude Bellingham's maiden UEFA Champions League goal wasn't enough as Borussia Dortmund lost 2-1 on the night and 4-2 on aggregate to Manchester City in the quarter-finals.
As it happened
The final whistle sounds and brings Dortmund's run to an end. City move on, and they'll face PSG in the semis. Thanks for joining us.
The former Liverpool and Juventus man might have pulled one back, but sends his shot over the bar from the edge of the box...it's not been his night.
The City boss looks like he's going through to his eighth Champions League semi-final, pulling him level with record-holder and arch-rival Jose Mourinho.
The Dortmund danger man got a shot away - wide - with 10 minutes to go, his first of the game. City have found a way to do what so many teams have not been able to this season, and keep Erling Haaland in check for most of the night. This will be the seventh competitive game in which he's not found the net.
Can Brandt and Tigges cook up what would be the most miraculous end to this game?
We cannot have extra-time now with City 4-2 up on aggregate. Dortmund need to score three in the closing quarter-hour.
He scored the late match winner last week, and now the England international has found the net again to - surely - dump Dortmund out. It's a short corner from Mahrez to Bernardo Silva - he finds Foden on the edge of the box, and his low shot pinballs in off a post.
But it's only the top of the net, unfortunately - a looping header from a free-kick lands behind Ederson but on top of, not in, his goal.
City's former Dortmund man has a shot...wide of the target. That's 12 goal attempts for City to six for BVB, but the hosts have got three on target, City just two.
Mahrez's strike was City's 40th in 15 away games...what's that goals per game? Anyone got a calculator?
There's hope for Dortmund. The midfielder is full of running tonight, and he squeezes off a shot that is well blocked by Ruben Dias. That was travelling.
Foden takes the resulting corner...met by Rodri, looping effort...and off the top of the crossbar and over. City really trying to put the game to bed now.
The Belgium international makes light work of the Dortmund defence before firing a shot goal wards...the ball ricochets wide off Akanji. That could have been worse.
So level on the night, City 3-2 ahead on aggregate. This does raise the possibility of extra-time if Dortmund score again and we finish at 2-1 after 90 minutes...
Hitz goes the right way, but Mahrez's penalty is too well struck, it's high too, and the Dortmund 'keeper is beaten. You've got to give credit to Mahrez, that was a quality spot-kick.
Now it's down to Hitz.
We've got VAR in action...
Can goes up for a cross, but instead of the ball hitting his head, it strikes his arm...referee Carlos del Cerro Grande points to the spot.
It's Can at the near post to head away the corner. City applying early pressure, Dortmund standing firm.
The Dortmund forward is back defending a corner...and rises at the near post to put the ball behind for another City corner. The hosts are working hard for each other.
But it's straight at Hitz, who makes a clean catch.
And play is back underway in Dortmund - 'just' 45 minutes between BVB and the semi-finals.
It's Dortmund with the advantage at the break. There was a big let-off when De Bruyne hit the crossbar, but they have been more than a match for the visitors. It promises to be a nail-biting 45 minutes to come...
Haaland is well inside his own half as Dortmund force City to try and play their way through the ranks of yellow-and-black shirts. And BVB are dangerous on the break.
The Dortmund midfielder surges forward and gets a shot away...Stones steps up to block. Dahoud's runs from deep are giving City plenty of food for thought.
There's a yellow card for the Dortmund midfielder for his foul on Foden...the English teenager has been centre stage in the first half for many reasons.
Well, kind of. A City corner is met by Zinchenko, but the full-back's header is easy catching practice for the Dortmund goalkeeper.
The City defence are keeping very close tabs on the Dortmund danger man, but he did have a key role in the goal. The one time he's escaped the visitors' shackles, and BVB scored.
Foden shows a silky touch and he turns the ball back to Mahrez - he charges forward and shoots, but Bellingham is there to block.
City are starting to find their feet - but with the way things stand, Dortmund are going through to a semi-final with Paris Saint-Germain, the team that defeated them (narrowly) in the Last 16 last season.
Morey intercepts a De Bruyne pass, but his heavy touch gives the City captain a shooting opportunity - and he pings an effort off the crossbar. Bernardo Silva heads the rebound wide. That was a big let-off for Dortmund.
The England defender lines up a shot...that sails into the stand behind Hitz's goal. No danger there, Dortmund will take those all night.
The Dortmund centre-back is up for a corner...and meets it nicely, but can't quite keep his header down. That could have been number two for BVB.
The 17-year-old got his debut Bundesliga goal at the weekend; that was his first in the UEFA Champions League.
Haaland moves down the channel, pulls it back for Dahoud - his shot is blocked by Ruben Dias, but the ball drops kindly to Bellingham, who doesn't need a second invitation to side foot high into the net.
Haaland has been unplayable in just his second campaign of Champions League football, reaching double figures for goals in just seven appearances. He wasn't on the scoresheet in the away leg, but did set up captain Marco Reus for an all-important away goal. BVB might have had another, but for a contentious refereeing decision against English teenager Jude Bellingham in the first half. Interim coach Edin Terzic is still without former City youth player Jadon Sancho, but Reus shakes off a knock to start. Ansgar Knauff was a surprise starter on the right wing in Manchester, and stuck away the winning goal from the bench against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday. The 19-year-old winger starts against City in what's an unchanged XI from the first leg. A 1-0 win or victory by at least two clear goals will send Dortmund through to the semi-finals, where 2019/20 runners-up Paris Saint-Germain await.
Pep Guardiola knows Dortmund well from his three-year stint in charge of Bayern. His overall record against BVB includes seven wins from 12 encounters, though three of those losses came in knockout competition. The Catalan tactician won successive Bundesliga titles at the Allianz Arena, and is firmly on course to add a third English Premier League title to his collection, despite losing 2-1 to 10-man Leeds United on Saturday. The Champions League has proved the club's kryptonite, though. They've never won the competition and have only gone as far as the semi-finals once. Dortmund, on the other hand, were winners in 1997 and beaten finalists in 2013. Former Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gündogan was part of the Jürgen Klopp team that lost 2-1 to Bayern at Wembley eight years ago, while Kevin De Bruyne spent his formative years in the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg. Oleksandr Zinchenko replaces Joao Cancelo at left-back in the only change from a week ago.
