Frankfurt announce all-white kit

Frankfurt's official colours are black, red and white, with the former two their traditional home combination.

However, Eintracht won the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League in their white change strip, beating Rangers on penalties in the final, as well as West Ham United and Barcelona along the way.

The Eagles also wore white shirts when they got the better of record champions Bayern Munich in the 2017/18 DFB Cup final.

Frankfurt's new white threads, made by Nike, feature a continuous black stripe on the sleeves and neck. The initials SGE, an appreviation of the club's official name, Sportgemeinde Eintracht (United Sports Community), is printed on the neck, while the eagle emblem on the chest is also in black and white. The jersey is complemented by black shorts and white socks.

The jersey that the players will wear is made from 100 percent recycled polyester fabric, which has been created from reused plastic bottles. This is part of Nike's Move to Zero initiative, designed to create environmentally friendly and sustainable apparel.

Frankfurt will have the opportunity to debut their all-white ensemble in the opening weeks of the new campaign. A clash of colours could prevent them from doing so in the DFB Cup first round against Magdeburg, who tradtionally wear blue and white, so they may have to wait until Bundesliga Matchday 1, when the Eagles host the red of defending champions Bayern (5 August).
