Hotshot forward commits to Hoffenheim

Fisnik Asllani is ready to leave his mark on the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim.

Fisnik Asllani has been kitted out with a new long-term deal that will keep the Kosovo international at Hoffenheim until 30 June 2029.

Asllani recently returned to Hoffenheim after a productive loan spell in Bundesliga 2. The 22-year-old registered 18 goals and nine assists as Elversberg finished third in the final 2024/25 standings, only missing out on promotion following a narrow play-off defeat to Heidenheim. He also impressed whilst on loan at Austria Vienna in 2023/24.

"Fisnik's development and strong performances in the second division have not gone unnoticed by many other clubs and he has attracted a lot of interest," acknowledged Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker. "That's why we're all the more delighted that he has chosen to stay. We're absolutely convinced that he'll take the next steps in his career with us and that we'll all continue to enjoy working with him in the future."

Berlin-born Asllani's form in 2024/25 was also rewarded with five senior caps for Kosovo. He is now hoping those eye-catching performances for club and country translate onto the Bundesliga stage with Hoffenheim.

"After the loan spells over the past two years, I felt that my time at Hoffenheim was anything but over," explained Aslanni, who's made substitute 10 Bundesliga appearances for the Sinsheim club, along with two starts in the DFB Cup.

"I'm highly motivated and want to establish myself at TSG and prove myself in the Bundesliga. I know the club, many of the players in the squad, and everyone who works at TSG. All of that will make my return easier. Now I can concentrate fully on the sporting side of things."

Asllani will compete with the likes of club record scorer Andrej Kramarić, Haris Tabaković and Erencan Yardımcı for a starting berth in the Hoffenheim attack. He should have the chance to feature in pre-season friendlies against Elversberg, Homburg, Darmstadt and Werder Bremen, before Die Kraichgauer face 3. Liga's Hansa Rostock in their first competitive outing of the new season, in the opening round of the DFB Cup, on 16 August.

Christian Ilzer's team - who finished just three points clear of the relegation zone last term - kick-off their Bundesliga campaign away to 2023/24 champions Bayer Leverkusen a week later.
