Joachim Löw's Germany have been drawn against Romania, Iceland, North Macedonia, Armenia and Liechtenstein in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group J.

Germany - seeded and placed in pot 1 for the draw - will face each nation in their section twice, home and away, between March and November 2021. The 10 group winners will qualify automatically for Qatar 2022, with the 10 runners-up advancing to the play-offs.

The 2022 World Cup is due to be held from 21 November to 18 December 2022 in Qatar.

Germany claimed their fourth world title in 2014, beating Argentina 1-0 in extra-time at the Maracana Stadium in Brazil.

Die Mannschaft were also victorious in 1990, 1974 and 1954.
