RB Leipzig have moved to strengthen their 2022/23 Bundesliga title push with the addition of versatile left-sided technician, David Raum, who arrives at the Red Bull Arena on an five-year contract.
Following an outstanding campaign last term, in which he was named in the EA Sports Bundesliga Team of the Season, Raum arrives at Leipzig a nine-time Germany senior international.

Featuring at both left back and left midfield for the Sinsheimers in 2021-22, the 24-year-old European Under-21 champion weighed in with a team best 11 assists as Hoffenheim finished ninth. Raum also delivered 183 crosses from open play and scored three times across 32 top-flight games for Die Kraichgauer.
“I’m very happy about my move to RB Leipzig," Raum told the Leipzig website. "The club made a lot of effort to bring me here and the discussions with head coach Domenico Tedesco, the club management and sporting director Oliver Mintzlaff quickly convinced me that coming to Leipzig is absolutely the right step for me."
Raum, who signs a five-year contract at Leipzig that runs until 2027, added: "I’m moving to a football-mad city with a fantastic stadium and a club that stands for successful and attractive football. RB Leipzig gives me the chance to play in the Champions League and offers the perfect conditions for me to develop. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team, settling in quickly and helping my teammates on the pitch.”
Prior to his switch to Hoffenheim in 2021, Nuremberg native Raum scored six times and provided 23 assists in 99 appearances for Greuther Fürth. His last achievement for the Cloverleaves was to help the club to Bundesliga promotion.
He arrives at a Leipzig side that lost a dramatic Supercup to Bayern Munich on Saturday, but one still set on challenging across several fronts this season. As well as hoping to put a dent in champions' Bayern's title aspirations, the Saxony-based side are defending their DFB Cup title and will also be competing in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
