Gio Reyna makes USMNT debut
Borussia Dortmund's Gio Reyna has made his senior international debut for the United States in a friendly against Wales in Cardiff.
On his last day as a 17-year-old, Reyna has made his first steps into international football playing 79 minutes in a 0-0 draw at Wales, in the USMNT's first match since February.
The Dortmund midfielder lined up alongside fellow Bundesliga players in Wolfsburg's John Brooks and RB Leipzig's Tyler Adams in Gregg Berhalter's side, while Bayern Munich's Chris Richards was left waiting for his debut on the bench.

In making his first appearance for his country, Reyna also became the third member of his family to represent a senior US national team. Reyna's father Claudio earned 112 caps while his mother, Danielle Reyna, earned six caps for the USWNT.
His debut for his country comes after a breakout year at the Signal Iduna Park. Reyna made his professional debut for Dortmund - becoming the youngest-ever American to play in the Bundesliga - in January and scored his first professional goal a month later in the DFB Cup.
Since then, the England-born attacking midfielder has made his debut in the UEFA Champions League and scored his first Bundesliga goal, which came on the opening day of the 2020/21 season against Borussia Mönchengladbach. In October, Reyna also became the youngest player in Bundesliga history to notch three assists in a single game.
