On his landmark 100th appearance in all competitions in Bayern Munich’s red-and-white, Harry Kane once again demonstrated his outrageous credentials as a forward, grabbing another two goal involvements as Der Rekordmeister beat Augsburg 3-2 on the road.
It's well known that a striker's merit is measured by their goals, and Harry Kane has certainly scored more than enough of those to convince the Bundesliga of his worth. Since his arrival in Bavaria, the England international has won the Torjägerkanone in each season he has played in Germany's top flight.
However, the English forward - as he proved in a 3-2 victory away to Augsburg on Matchday 2 - offers his side even more than his astonishing record for finding the back of the net, which, considering his 92 goals in 100 appearances for Bayern, is saying something.
'King Kane' - as he is known - teed up two of his subjects in Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise as Bayern held on to their lead in the Bavarian derby. These two assists take his Bayern tally to 27 in all competitions, which would be an impressive haul for a creative midfielder, let alone a No.9!
In total, Kane has amassed a staggering 119 goal involvements in 100 appearances, and he's showing no signs of slowing.
In the opening four competitive games for Bayern this term, he has recorded six goals and two assists, including an opening day hat-trick against Leipzig. If he can keep this streak up, there are sure to be a whole host of more records for last year's Player of the Season to break in the 2024/25 campaign.
