Harry Kane didn't let pre-match nerves get in the way after marking his Bundesliga debut with a goal and assist in Bayern Munich's season-opening win at Werder Bremen.
Making his first Bayern start following last weekend's substitute outing in the Supercup loss to RB Leipzig, Kane set up the opening goal for Leroy Sane with just six minutes gone at the Weser-Stadion.
A constant threat in the lone striker's role, the England captain got the goal his all-round performance deserved in the second half - sticking away his sixth attempt of the match - before being withdrawn in the 84th minute.

"I had butterflies at the start, but I just focused on my job," Kane told DAZN following Bayern's comfortable 4-0 triumph in the 2023/24 Bundesliga opener.
"It's not easy when you come to a new country, it takes time - but I'm really happy. As for the hype, I don't give it much thought. I'll try to repay the faith, though."
For head coach Thomas Tuchel, Bayern's new No.9 - signed on a four-year deal from Tottenham Hotspur just a week ago - did just that against Werder.
"'Good' doesn't do him justice; it was a top performance," the 49-year-old told DAZN after the game.
"He's a great person, a real presence. And then right off the bat with an assist followed by a goal. Long may it continue!"
Kane's debut goal makes him the second Englishman to score for Bayern in the Bundesliga, after Owen Hargreaves.
“There’s been a lot of build-up, a lot of talk over the last week since I’ve been here," the 30-year-old told bundesliga.com at the final whistle. "For me, I just couldn’t wait to get out there and get on the pitch. So I’m really happy with the start, of course, to contribute, to help the team.
"Four goals and of course a clean sheet, which was important, as well bouncing back from last week [in the Supercup defeat by RB Leipzig]. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening.”
Kane will get the chance to add to his tally when Bayern host Augsburg on Bundesliga Matchday 2 (27 August).
