Bayern Munich's Matchday 2 derby win over Augsburg marked Harry Kane's 100th game in the club's colours, and with 91 goals scored in that time, where does that rank him among Bavarian greats after a century of games?
The England captain’s heroic double in his side's 3-2 win against Wehen Wiesbaden in round two of the DFB Cup saw Bayern escape a possible upset and Kane pull away even further away from the goalscoring feats of previous Bayern legends.
With 91 goals in 100 matches for the club now, Kane’s place at the top of the leaderboard for most goals scored by the point of reaching 100 competitive games has been confirmed well in advance of reaching the milestone.
Naturally, reaching such absurd numbers at a club of Bayern’s stature means surpassing the achievements of some of the game’s finest forwards. Having averaged a goal every 82 minutes since arriving in Bavaria, Kane has eclipsed previous record holder Roy Makaay, who had scored 72 goals in his first 100 games for the club.
The Dutchman’s record even remained out of reach of Robert Lewandowksi’s grasp, a man who had a similar addiction to record breaking as Kane during his Bayern stay, but fell two short of Makaay.
The Pole netted 344 goals in 375 games during his time at the Allianz Arena. That stacks up to an average of a goal every 100 minutes, compared to Kane’s 82.
Lewandowski will understand better than many that records are there to be broken, however, as he himself broke Gerd Müller's record of most goals scored in a single season (40) when he bagged 41 in the 2020/21 campaign. That marked his fourth consecutive season of blowing away competition for the Bundesliga Torjägerkanone, which he would accomplish once more in 2021/22 to make it five in a row.

Having bettered Müller’s record of 68 goals in his first 100 Bayern games, Kane will now be out to crown his third season in German football with a third top-scorer title in a row - a feat only previously achieved by Der Bomber and also Lewandowski (five in a row).
His 65 goals from his first 65 Bundesliga appearances also makes Kane the only player in Bundesliga history to boast a scoring rate above one goal per game.
Posting figures that put you in the reaches of the Bundesliga's two greatest goalscorers is undoubtedly some achievement by England's captain.

Having scored 36 in his first season with the club and already hit a hat-trick in the opening match of 2025/26, Kane will also look to push to join those two in the exclusive 40-goal club.
Going for such numbers is a thankless task though, as the remainder of the striking greats that have donned the Bayern kit have found out.
Mario Gómez came close to matching Müller’s tally after a century of games for the club, netting 63 goals compared to his 68, but was similarly unlucky in his efforts to outshine his fellow German predecessor, hitting a Bundesliga-best of 28 in the 2010/11 season.

Regardless, his record of 113 goals in 174 total games for Bayern, which saw him collect two league titles, two DFB Cups, a Supercup and a Champions League title, mean Gómez is by no means out of place in the list of Bayern’s finest frontmen.
In fact, the ex-German international's record after 100 games is better than that of four of the club's top 10 all-time goalscorers, even if it is dwarfed by Kane’s figures.
Those names include Rainer Ohlhauser, Roland Wohlfarth, Dieter Hoeneß and Giovane Élber. Hoeneß is the closest to Kane, with 57 of his total 145 goals for the club coming in that first hundred, while Élber (51), Wohlfarth (50) and Ohlhauser (49) all follow closely behind.
That clinical quartet collected 669 goals between them during their Bayern careers, and further signify the astonishing ruthlessness that Kane has shown in front of goal since arriving in Germany.

If the magnitude of Kane’s achievement wasn’t already apparent, the fact that he has more than doubled the 43-goal tally of Germany and FIFA World Cup all-time top scorer Miroslav Klose in that time span should do the trick.
Thus, as Kane looks back on his first 100 games for the Bundesliga’s record champions, the question isn't whether or not he’ll be in the club’s history books, it’ll be about how many pages of that book bear his name.
