Bundesliga
Bayern Munich put the Bundesliga on notice with their 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker, and the champions' young German star, Jamal Musiala, believes his side are just getting started.
There were question marks over how much Musiala would be involved in the Klassiker but the 20-year-old ultimately played a pivotal part in Bayern's convincing win, and his burgeoning partnership with Harry Kane clicking into high gear was particularly eye-catching.
The pair would easily have provided each other with a goal on another day as Bayern continuously carved Dortmund open and, despite a couple of missed opportunities, their link-up play again highlighted how much the record champions are improving as they get to know their new star-striker.
In the end it was the Kane and Leroy Sané combination that took the headlines, but Musiala is delighted that he too is striking up an understanding with the England captain.

Asked if he felt chemistry building between him and Kane, Musiala told reporters in Dortmund: "Yeah, the more games we play, I think so... I feel very comfortable with Harry up front, and I think he plays amazing passes so I can run in behind and he will find me. The more games we play, the more I will take my chances - hopefully! - and he will keep scoring hat-tricks!
He added of Kane after the Matchday 10 win: "I expected already high things but probably not as high as he's delivered so far. It's even easier than I first thought to play with him and I'm very happy, hopefully he's happy too!"
You would assume so considering Kane has 15 league goals from 10 games thus far, including back-to-back Bundesliga hat-tricks. Musiala, whose links to England could have seen him line-up alongside Kane in national team colours, has every right to be pleased with his own work, too.
At the start of the season, he would have been unsure of how much of his time on the pitch would be shared with the legendary figure of Thomas Müller, but Musiala has made the attacking midfield spot his own with a string of fine performances.
His seven league appearances, five of which have been starts, have resulted in two goals and two more assists, while he has contributed three goals (two goals, one assist) in as many UEFA Champions League outings this term.
A brace in the 8-0 win over Darmstadt and this excellent performance against Dortmund appear show Musiala is well and truly hitting his stride, in an attack that is flying right now.
The combination of Kane's deadliness in front of goal, the pace of Sané and Kingsley Coman out wide and guile of Musiala drifting into the pockets is mouth-watering and Bayern's number 42 thinks that quartet are only getting started.
"I think we're a really strong counter-attacking team with so much speed going forward with King and Leroy and that's very hard to defend against at times," said Musiala. "We then have Harry in the middle who's always in the right spots to get that goal and we rely on that sometimes."

He continued: "As the season goes on, we'll have even more chances and control the game even better. But I think we can always rely on the counter-attack and our speed that we have."
Musiala explained that Bayern's early goals against Dortmund meant "we controlled the game well and made the game a lot of fun."
This will be great news for Bayern fans that their players are enjoying their football but spare a thought for their opponents both in Germany and across Europe because, the more fun forwards are having, the more misery they will pile on defences in front of them.
