Kusi-Asare has signed a long-term deal with Bayern. The 16-year-old will initially play for the U19s, but have the opportunity to train with the senior side. He makes the switch as AIK's youngest-ever player, having debuted for the club in Sweden's top tier one month and 24 days after turning 16. The 6'4" striker made four appearances in the Allsvenskan in 2023, the year he was promoted from the Sweden U16s to 17s. He made his debut in a UEFA Euro U17 qualifier against Moldova, marking the occasion with a hat-trick.

Jonah is the son of Jones Kusi-Asare, who played professionally in Sweden, Austria and Denmark. A scorer of 26 goals across 132 competitive games, the Ghana-born striker - capped once by the Sweden U21s - got his hands on the 2001/02 Austrian Cup during a stint at Graz, before winning the domestic double with Sweden's Djurgårdens in 2005.
