Starting the 2025/26 season with a statement of intent, Karim Adeyemi is thrilling the Borussia Dortmund faithful with a spell of form that has the forward drawing renewed attention in the Bundesliga and beyond.
His latest vital contribution was yet another stunning goal, helping his team beat Mainz in a 2-0 win away from home. Last week, it was a pile-driving winner in BVB's 1-0 triumph against Wolfsburg on Matchday 4.
The 23-year-old appears more determined than ever to plant his footballing flag at the summit of the game for club and country.
Since March alone, it's now 16 goal involvements in 31 games for the Dortmund No.27, who is fresh off a single-season best contribution in BVB colours of 23 in all competitions.

"I’ve played quite well for five games now," Adeyemi said after his stellar display against Mainz. "But you can’t say that’s consistency just yet. I definitely need more games like this."
And his reward at the end of his side's latest encounter? Being voted Man of the Match on the official Bundesliga app once again, after winning the vote against Wolfsburg last week.
The Munich native's efforts also brought him up to five goal involvements in his last four competitive matches (three goals, two assists).

Before his displays against Wolfsburg and Mainz, Adeyemi scored and assisted in Borussia's wild 4-4 draw against Juventus in the teams' UEFA Champions League opener this season.
Meanwhile, he set up Maxi Beier's goal in the 2-0 Bundesliga win against Heidenheim earlier in the month, a game in which he was the fastest player on the pitch at 34.96 km/h.
"[Karim] exudes a certain kind of relaxed attitude, professionalism, but also a winning mentality," Kehl said after the Wolfsburg win. "At the moment, he's probably the best Karim Adeyemi we've seen here at Borussia Dortmund."
Adeyemi's best now includes a first Bundesliga goal from outside the area after Matchday 4, a 20th-minute strike which represented the first time this term BVB have scored inside the opening half an hour of a game. Following up with another against Bo Svensson's team, courtesy of Daniel Svensson.
"We had many chances, scored only one goal, but we didn't let anything slip defensively and deserved to win," Adeyemi said after taming the Wolves.
Watch: Enter the Dortmund fortress
Currently the epitome of an energetic Dortmund side who are now unbeaten in their last 13 Bundesliga games stretching back to last season, Adeyemi has also helped Die Schwarzgelben to reach 13 points after five Bundesliga matchdays, the team's best tally at this stage of a season for eight years.
With player and club continuing to impress, it's shaping up to be a season to remember for both.
