Eintracht Frankfurt are getting the band back together! After securing the services of last season's loanees Filip Kostic, Sebastian Rode and Martin Hinteregger on permanent deals, the Eagles have strengthened their squad further with the arrival of Kevin Trapp from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Germany international goalkeeper spent the 2018/19 season on loan at the Commerzbank-Arena from PSG, making 33 Bundesliga appearances and 12 in the UEFA Europa League, and has now committed his future to the club by putting pen to paper on a five-year deal with Adi Hütter's side.

"I already stressed in the spring that I feel very comfortable in Frankfurt and Eintracht," Trapp told the club's website. "The time in Paris was very exciting, successful and a great experience for me. Now I've come home permanently and would like to achieve much more with Eintracht."

The 29-year-old made a name for himself at Frankfurt early in his career, making 96 top-flight outings for the club between 2012 and 2015 before moving to the French capital, where he won the Ligue 1 title twice.

And after enjoying a successful stint with the Eagles last term, keeping eight clean sheets in the league to help Frankfurt finish seventh, as well as playing a leading role in their march to the UEFA Europa League semi-finals, Trapp wasted little time in returning to the club.

"Kevin was an important pillar last season and had a huge share in the positive season," Fredi Bobic. "His charisma is hugely important to the team and we're very happy to be able to tie a top goalkeeper and German national player to us in the long term."
