Leroy Sane has expressed his delight at joining 29-time Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich from Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.
Sane joined Bayern on a five-year deal earlier this month following four years in Manchester, and trained with the record champions for the first time on Monday.
"It was great to be back out of the pitch again, and take part in my first training session," the 24-year-old forward told the Bayern website. "I'm overjoyed to be here."
Sane, who only recently recovered from an anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in the FA Community Shield last August, completed running circuits and ball exercises alongside fellow Germany international Niklas Süle in his first workout at Säbener Straße.
The former Schalke star will link up with the rest of his new teammates for cyber training next week, but will be ineligible to play for Bayern in the UEFA Champions League when the competition resumes in August, due to UEFA guidelines on new transfers.
That means he could make his competitive debut for Bayern in the 2020/21 DFB Cup first round, which is slated for 11-14 September. The new Bundesliga campaign kicks off on 18 September.

Sane made 57 appearances for former club Schalke between 2014 and 2016, registering 13 goals and eight assists. He tallied 39 goals and 45 assists across 135 senior games for Man City, lifting back-to-back English Premier League titles in 2017/18 and 2018/19.
The Essen native - whose father, Souleyman, played in Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 - is a 21-time Germany international.
He has inherited the No.10 shirt at Bayern, previously worn by club legend Arjen Robben.
