Bundesliga
Bayern Munich host Bayer Leverkusen in one of European football’s most anticipated fixtures on Saturday with both team's players shining both on the pitch and in Bundesliga Fantasy this season.
Bayern, who were dethroned by Leverkusen last season after an 11-year Bundesliga winning streak are looking hungry to reclaim their crown, but the champions are in no mood to give up any ground. bundesliga.com guides you through the combined best XI of the two Bundesliga heavyweights so far this season…
Goalkeeper
Lukáš Hrádecký (Leverkusen), 332pts
Defenders
Alejandro Grimaldo (Leverkusen), 1217pts
The top scorer in Bundesliga Fantasy last season, Grimaldo is right back at it this campaign as he ranks second overall, and towers above his fellow defenders. The flying full-back has a goal and assist to his name, and has already racked up 11 shots to go with his 28 tackles won.

Dayot Upamecano (Bayern), 1005pts
Piero Hincapie (Leverkusen), 888pts
Minjae Kim (Bayern), 873pts
Midfielders
Granit Xhaka (Leverkusen), 1060pts
Despite his midfield dominance, Xhaka took a while to start producing in front of goal last season, not registering a goal or assist until Matchday 23 against Mainz in February. This season, with just four games gone, he’s already got a goal and two assists. The Swiss metronome ranks sixth among all midfielders, and with many of those above him given far more attacking roles, Xhaka’s points haul shows just how good he’s been.

Florian Wirtz (Leverkusen), 1586pts
By being top in Fantasy so far this season, Wirtz has shown he isn’t letting his foot off the gas after his Player of the Season award last time out. The Germany megastar began with a bang by netting twice against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the season opener and has scored or assisted in every match since for five goal contributions overall.

Michael Olise (Bayern), 1105pts
The only new arrival to make it in this XI, Olise does so thanks to an incredible start that has him with the fifth highest points total overall in Bundesliga Fantasy. The summer signing from Crystal Palace amazed at the Olympics with France and has kept up his form in Bavaria. While he was kept off the scoresheet in his first two Bundesliga matches, he scored his first against Holstein Kiel and then put in arguably the best performance of any player so far this season with two goals and two assists against Werder Bremen.

Jamal Musiala (Bayern), 1076pts
Forwards
Victor Boniface (Leverkusen), 906pts
Harry Kane (Bayern), 1192pts
Top scorer in the Bundesliga last season and the European Golden Boot winner, Kane is straight back where he belongs this term at the top of the goal charts with five in four games. It gets better, though, as he’s also bagged four assists, half the number he managed in 32 games last season, and is showing that even at the age of 31 he just keeps getting better.
