Borussia Dortmund teenager Jadon Sancho set the bar with a Bundesliga-leading 14 assists last season, while Bayern Munich's Joshua Kimmich was not far behind, but it's the latter's teammate Thomas Müller who tops the Bundesliga's list of providers in 2019/20.

Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich)

Appearances: 33 (26 starts)
Assists: 21
Assists per game: 0.64

Müller ends the season Bayern's and the Bundesliga's best provider in 2019/20. No player has ever had so many assists in a single campaign and his 21 provisions helped Bayern extend their record championship reign to an eighth Meisterschale in a row. Müller capped a superb season by bookmarking their 4-0 win over Wolfsburg on the final day; laying on Kingsley Coman's opener and scoring the fourth - his eighth of the season - himself.

Thomas Müller (r.) was Bayern Munich's - and the Bundesliga's leading assist provider in 2019/20.

Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund)

Appearances: 32 (25 starts)
Assists: 16
Assists per game: 0.47

Last season's most prolific provider was at it again in 2019/20 and Sancho moved on to 16 assists when he came off the bench to set up Achraf Hakimi in the 2-0 win at Wolfsburg on Matchday 27. It took a stunning effort from Müller to dethrone Sancho, who now has 30 assists from his past two Bundesliga seasons.

RB Leipzig winger Christopher Nkunku (c.) proved a handful for his opponents this term.

Filip Kostic (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Appearances: 33 (33 starts)

Assists per game: 0.33

Kostic has been an almost ever-present for Frankfurt down their left wing and chipped in with a club-best 11 assists in 2019/20. He teed up Martin Hinteregger for the only goal of the game in the 1-0 win over Hoffenheim way back on Matchday 1 for his first and crossed for David Abraham in the 2-1 win over Schalke on Matchday 32 for his last.

Alassane Plea (Borussia Mönchengladbach)

Appearances: 27 (25 starts)
Assists: 10
Assists per game: 0.37

No Gladbach player had a hand in more Bundesliga goals this season than Plea, who scored one and laid another on in his second appearance of the season against Mainz on Matchday 2 and then chalked up a brace of assists - and scored himself - in the 4-1 win over Union Berlin in his penultimate appearance of 2019/20 on Matchday 29.

Maximilian Arnold (Wolfsburg)

Appearances: 33 (32 starts)
Assists: 8
Assists per game: 0.24

Known for his vicious left boot and devilish deliveries at set-pieces, it is hardly surprising that Arnold is Wolfsburg's go-to man at dead-ball situations. He showed this on Matchday 28 with a pair of near-identical free-kicks for Marin Pongracic in a 4-1 win over Leverkusen and added a carbon copy of that pair in his next game, setting up Kevin Mbabu to score against Frankfurt on Matchday 29 for his eighth - and final - assist of the season.

Trimmel's performances as Union defied the odds in their Bundesliga debut have been nothing short of incredible and the 33-year-old last used a trademark corner to set up Marvin Friedrich for the opening goal in Union's Matchday 31 win in Cologne. Eight assists from set pieces this season is a Europe-wide best and two more than Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Christopher Trimmel was deadly accurate this season, not just from the corner flag, with eight assists.

Timo Werner (RB Leipzig)

Appearances: 34 (33 starts)

Having only been bettered by Sancho in the assist stakes last season, Kimmich was once again a master provider at Bayern and the Germany international chalked up his seventh - and final - assist of the campaign in the 4-2 win over Leverkusen on Matchday 30.

Joshua Kimmich was once again a master assist maker for his Bayern Munich teammates this year.

Marcel Sabitzer (RB Leipzig)

Appearances: 32 (30 starts)
Assists: 7
Assists per game: 0.22

An assist in Leipzig's 2-0 win over Hoffenheim on Matchday 31 took Sabitzer to seven for the season. In addition to his nine goals, this is the Austrian's most productive season in German football.

Marcel Sabitzer enjoyed his most successful Bundesliga season on a personal level.

Kevin Volland (Bayer Leverkusen)

Appearances: 27 (24 starts)
Assists: 7
Assists per game: 0.26
