VfB Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle has ruled out Germany striker Nick Woltemade leaving the club this summer, amidst on-going interest from Bayern Munich.
Woltemade, 23, enjoyed a stunning debut campaign at Stuttgart, scoring 12 Bundesliga goals and a further five in as many games as Die Schwaben won the DFB Cup.
After being rewarded for his superb performances with his first senior Germany caps at the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League Final Four tournament, the former Werder Bremen forward helped propel his country's U21s into the final of Euro 2025, with a tournament-leading six goals in five matches, as well as three assists.

It’s form that has attracted the attention of leading clubs around Europe, with Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl recently confirming the Bundesliga champions’ interest in the striker. However, Wehrle has once again reaffirmed Stuttgart’s position.
"We're not in negotiations with Bayern, VfB's CEO told Sky Sport Germany on 17 July.
"I'm very happy to talk to [Bayern CEO] Jan-Christian Dreesen, whom I hold in high regard on the DFL Executive Committee, but I made my position very clear five weeks ago and nothing has changed. Nick Woltemade will be playing football with us next year."
Even if "something extraordinary should happen," Wehrle continued, "we are professional enough to exchange ideas." At the same time, he emphasised: "We don't want to let him go. We want to go into the season with him, he's a very important player."
Woltemade, who joined Stuttgart from boyhood club Bremen on a free transfer last summer, has a contract with the three-time Bundesliga champions until 30 June 2028. They kick off the new season at home to Bayern in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup on 16 August.
