The transparent scoring system in official Bundesliga Fantasy Manager is being revolutionised in order to evaluate players' performances in even greater detail.

So what does that mean exactly? Well, as before, there is a catalogue of points based on the players' real-time performance data and statistics - and no subjectively awarded grades.
The points, which you can check live in the app, have now been increased so that they reflect the players' performances even more accurately.
For example, a forward will no longer receive four points per goal but 80. Every shot on goal, as well as every assist and every shot saved by a goalkeeper, will score points. Previously, this was only the case for every second shot.
Furthermore, successful long passes and passes into the centre or final third now also score points, while fouls are penalised with points deductions. Goalkeepers can now collect more points by intercepting crosses.
However, nothing has changed with regard to your star players. You can still select one player per matchday in defence, midfield and forward, who will receive 1.5 times the number of points.
The new events that have been added are: successful dribble, ground duel won, aerial duel won, successful long pass, successful cross, successful pass into the final third, successful pass into the middle third, foul, corner/cross intercepted.
With the focus increasingly on the game as a live spectacle, some events have been removed from the points catalogue, as these were only determined after the final whistle and often did not pertain to individual performance.
Clean sheets, points for the being on the winning team and minus points for being on the losing side, points deducted for conceding more than three goals and similar events are no longer assessed.
The new points system at a glance:
Good question. The idea behind the move is to evaluate the players more realistically and in more detail, but also more fairly.
The focus is no longer just on the big events in a game, like goals and penalty saves. For instance, a defender does many things that a striker doesn't do - even if he is involved in fewer goals.
As a result, we have added more events to better reflect the game as a whole, but also to create a better balance between goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. All positions should be able to score a similar amount of points; previously forwards usually scored many more points than goalkeepers, for example. This allows you to follow the game even more realistically in the fantasy app.
Why have we increased the points overall?
Some of the new events are significantly lower in value than a goal, which was previously valued at +4 points for strikers. In order to create a finer balance, points have now been increased: the four points for a goal have now become +80 points for a striker. This creates a more appropriate ratio to a pass, which scores one point.
