Not only did Michael Olise help Bayern Munich regain the Bundesliga title in his first season at the club, he also ended the campaign top of the leaderboard for assists. Meanwhile at Bayer Leverkusen, Florian Wirtz hit double figures for goals and assists in consecutive seasons, but who made a late charge into the top five in 2024/25? Find out below...
1. Michael Olise (15 assists)
With an incredible 15 assists, Olise was the Bundesliga’s top assister in 2024/25, his debut campaign in the league. The France international also set up more shooting chances for others (83) than anyone else in the top flight.
Add his 12 Bundesliga goals and winning the Meisterschale into the mix and it was certainly a season to remember for the former Crystal Palace man.

2. Florian Wirtz (12)
Wirtz set a new personal record with his 12 assists this past season, building on his 11 from Bayer Leverkusen’s title-winning campaign in 2023/24.
The 22-year-old also hit double figures for goals in consecutive seasons, scoring 10 this time as Die Werkself finished runner-up to Olise’s Bayern.

3. Vincenzo Grifo (11)
Grifo finished as Freiburg’s top assist provider for a third straight season, setting a new personal best of 11 to surpass the 10 he registered in the 2020/21 campaign.
4. Julian Brandt (10)
Brandt hit double figures for assists as Borussia Dortmund made an impressive turnaround in the second half of the season under Niko Kovač.
That uptick in form was down to the Croatian’s ability to get the best out of his players, with Brandt notching half of his 10 assists in his 13 games under him.
5. Pascal Groß (10)
The Dortmund coach had an even greater impact on Groß, who recorded eight of his 10 assist under Kovač. Four of those even came in one game, when the Black-and-Yellows hit Union Berlin for six on Matchday 23.
