On-loan Norwich City midfielder Ondrej Duda is "100 per cent" in Hertha Berlin's plans for next season according to the capital club's general manager, Michael Preetz.

Slovakia international Duda was Hertha's most potent attacking force in the 2018/19 Bundesliga campaign, contributing an impressive 11 goals and five assists from midfield.

He started six of the first nine games this season but fell out of favour following the arrival of Jürgen Klinsmann at the Olympiastadion in November, and was allowed to leave on loan for Norwich in the English Premier League.

Watch: It wasn't so long ago that Duda was loving life in Berlin!

In the time between his departure and the coronavirus-induced interruption in play, Duda has featured eight times for the Canaries in all competitions, whilst Klinsmann left Hertha, rather under a cloud, in February.

"We're planning 100 per cent with Ondrej, he is coming back," Preetz told German sports daily Kicker in no uncertain terms. "He has shown how much he can help a team which has a good spine."

Hertha have strengthened in the midfield engine room with Santiago Ascacibar to be joined by the summer arrival of Lucas Tousart from Lyon. The Duda of last season could complete an exciting midfield triangle.
