A late Jeffrey Gouweleeuw own goal earned Paris Saint-Germain victory over Augsburg in a pre-season friendly which will give the Bavarian side plenty of encouragement ahead of the new season.
Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 Augsburg
Goals: 1-0 Draxler (62'), 1-1 Niederlechner (66'), 2-1 Gouweleeuw (o.g. 90+1')
FULL-TIME PARIS ST. GERMAIN 2-1 AUGSBURG
GOAL! PARIS ST. GERMAIN 2-1 AUGSBURG (GOUWELEEUW O.G)
How cruel for Augsburg! Moments after hitting the post, a Fadiga cross comes off the thigh of captain Gouweleeuw and loops into his own goal! That seals a late win for Paris, and heartbreak for a very impressive Augsburg.
89' POST FOR AUGSBURG!
That could have been a winner for Augsburg! A powerful effort from Sergio Cordova beats Alexandre Letellier, but rattles against the top of his right-hand post! A late let-off for Paris, as the Bavarians go within inches of snatching victory.
86' KALIMUENDO CLOSE!
That could have been a winner for Paris, but Kalimuendo misses! The game is opening up for these final minutes, and this could go either way, or neither way.
82' GRUEZO CHANCE
Carlos Gruezo pulls the trigger from long range, but his effort is always rising as it clears the crossbar by quite a distance. Augsburg continuing to push for a morale-boosting winner here.
79' PARIS CLOSE
Simon pulls the ball back well for Draxler, but his shot is tipped wide by Koubek – an excellent save from the Augsburg custodian.
77' PARIS SUB
Anfane Ahamada M'Ze comes on for Paris, replacing Dina Ebimbe
76' FOUR NEW ENTRIES
Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl makes four more changes with Günther, Gruezo, Jensen and Winther all taking to the field.
74' GREGORITSCH EFFORT
Augsburg really are impressing here in Orleans and substitute Michael Gregoritsch has just tested Letellier in the Paris goal with a low shot. Augsburg are fighting for every ball and fully deserve to be at least level with 15 minutes to go.
70' GHARBI REPLACED
An injury to Gharbi is an opportunity for a short break for the players, and he is not fit enough to continue, Fadica replacing him. Meanwhile, Letellier comes on for Navas between the Paris sticks.
66' GOAL! PARIS ST. GERMAIN 1-1 AUGSBURG (NIEDERLECHNER)
And there it is! From the resulting corner, the ball falls for Niederlechner, who makes no mistake this time, hammering the ball into the roof of the net from close range!
65' NIEDERLECHNER CHANCE!
That could and probably should have been the equaliser for Augsburg, with Keylor Navas making a fine save with his right foot to deny Florian Niederlechner, who was put clean through on goal.
63' AUGSBURG CHANGES
Sarenren Bazee and Gregoritsch are on for Finnbogason and Moravek.
62' GOAL! PARIS ST. GERMAIN 1-0 AUGSBURG (DRAXLER)
The deadlock is broken and it is Julian Draxler who puts Paris in front, sending in a diagonal shot which Koubek gets a finger to, but cannot keep out.
58' KEHRER CROSS
Thilo Kehrer, formerly of Schalke, sends in a low cross from the right which is just too far in front of Kalimuendo to reach, as Koubek picks up the ball gladly.
54' ANOTHER AUGSBURG CORNER
More danger from the Bundesliga club, but Florian Niederlechner commits a foul as Paris clear their lines.
47' NIEDERLECHNER HEADS OVER
The first chance of the second half is Augbsurg's, with Florian Niederlechner heading over from a corner.
SECOND HALF!
Two changes for Augsburg at the break, with Koubek coming on in goal for Gikiewicz and Framberger replacing Jakob. For Paris, Kalimuendo is on for Icardi, and Alloh has also taken to the field for Bitshiabu.
HALF-TIME 0-0!
A good first half from Augsburg, who had the better chances and would have been leading had it not been for some great saves from Keylor Navas. Markus Weinzierl will be happy with what he has seen so far, although Paris did improve towards the end of the first half with Mauro Icardi and Ismaël Gharbi having good chances.
45' DINA EMIMBE GOES CLOSE!
Julian Draxler cuts the ball back for Dina Ebimbe, who gives Rafal Gikiewicz some work to do low to his right.
41' AUGSBURG CHANCE!
That's more like it from Dorsch, who meets Daniel Caligiuri's free-kick and tests Keylor Navas with a header, although the linesman's flag is raised and it would not have counted anyway.
37' DORSCH BOOKED
Niklas Dorsch's name is the first in the referee's book as he bearhugs Julian Draxler from behind as he attempts to run clear, a clear professional foul.
36' ICARDI HEADER WIDE
Mauro Icardi goes a bit closer than he did with his earlier, long-range effort, but he still misses the target with his header from 10 yards out.
34' GHARBI AGAIN!
Ismaël Gharbi has the next shot on Rafal Gikiewicz's goal, finding the side-netting with no real danger for the Augsburg custodian, but plenty of confidence from the Paris youngster.
32' AUGSBURG ATTACKING
Alfred Finnbogason and Florian Niederlechner both trying to carve a chance in behind the Paris defence, but they get in each other's way. Still plenty of promising attacks from Augsburg here.
29' PARIS CHANCE!
Ismaël Gharbi stings the palms of Rafal Gikiewicz after being released down the right by Julian Draxler. A good chance for Paris and their 17-year-old attacking midfielder.
23' COOLING BREAK
The two teams take a short break to take on some fluids and receive some instructions from their coaches. Markus Weinzierl does not have much to say, with his team impressing so far.
18' NIEDERLECHNER CLOSE!
Keylor Navas makes a fine save to turn Florian Niederlechner's blistering effort wide of goal! The Augsburg forward got some venom behind that shot as he appeared to be falling from the ground on the edge of the area, but it took a fine stop to deny him, with Augsburg earning their third corner of the game.
12' AUGSBURG CHANCE!
Augsburg are back at the other end with Alfred Finnbogason receiving the ball in front of Keylor Navas' goal, but his control lets him down and he cannot get a decent effort in – a huge chance for the guests!
11' ICARDI EFFORT
On one of Paris' rare incursions into the Augsburg half, Mauro Icardi lifts his head up and attempts to lob Rafal Gikiewicz from long range, but he does not connect with the ball well and it is no problem for the Augsburg goalkeeper.
6' AUGSBURG CLOSE!
The second corner of the game for Augsburg causes confusion in the Paris box, but nobody is able to get a touch as it curls out of play, beyond the far post. Still the Bundesliga side asking the questions here.
4' GOOD START FROM AUGSBURG!
Augsburg are playing the ball around confidently, camped in the Paris half for much of these early exchanges.
KICK-OFF!
The ball is rolling in Orleans in this pre-season friendly!

Although the surgeon deemed the procedure "a success", the 22-year-old is not yet match fit. In more positive news for head coach Markus Weinzierl, new signing Niklas Dorsch makes his second successive start following his summer move from Gent.
