Levy Finn 'RBLZ_Levyfinn' Rieck is the VBL Grand Final by WOW winner after the RB Leipzig gamer defeated club-mate Anders 'RBLZ_Vejrgang' Vejrgang in an action-packed final that capped a memorable tournament in Cologne.

This year's German eFootball champion among individual players, the RB Leipzig man - who secured prize money of €40,000 following his win - downed his teammate 2-1 at the end of the two-day final tournament. The competition was played in EA SPORTS FC 25's "Ultimate Team" mode.

After accepting the championship trophy in front of a passionate crowd at Cologne's BASE, the 22-year-old - who qualified for the VBL Grand Final via the VBL Open by WOW playoffs - couldn't hide his delight. "To win the individual championship in addition to the VBL Club Championship is an incredible feeling," the winner said. "Coming back like this after my final loss last year means a lot to me."

After presenting the championship trophy to the winner, Felix Rentschler, the head of Virtual Bundesliga, said, "Congratulations to Levy on winning the title – he emerges from this final weekend as a well-deserved winner. This completes the double of individual championship and club championship with his club RB Leipzig. On behalf of the DFL, I congratulate him on this impressive achievement. Furthermore, my thanks go to all participating players, clubs, and partners for their commitment at the end of an exciting season!"

In the knockout phase of the VBL Grand Final, 16 players competed in an offline event after a successful online group stage, having previously qualified via the VBL Club Championship by WOW and the VBL Open by WOW playoffs. The total prize money pool was €100,000.

Participation in the VBL Grand Final secures players qualification for the EA SPORTS FC Pro World Championship, where the best players from other national leagues and other international tournaments compete for the FC Pro World Championship title. Since Anders Vejrgang already qualified for the FC Pro World Championship prior to the VBL Grand Final, another World Championship ticket was awarded in Cologne. In the third place game, Jonas "Jonny" Wirth of VfL Bochum 1848 prevailed against Koray "KKORAY_" Kücükgünar of FC Bayern Munich.
