Bundesliga

Ever wondered what it feels like to be a referee? Bundesliga fans in recent years have been able to see how the match official views the action with RefCam.
RefCam was used for the first time in the Bundesliga on Matchday 23 of the 2023/24 season, providing a unique perspective on the 2-2 draw between Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolfsburg. Match official Daniel Schlager certainly had a lot to take in, including early goals, cautions and Omar Marmoush's injury-time equaliser.
The images were not included in the live broadcast or the match summaries. The recorded material was used for an approximately half-hour report entitled 'Referees Mic'd up – Bundesliga', which was produced by the DFL and made available to its national and international media partners.
