Robert Lewandowski has underlined his long-term commitment to Bayern Munich, saying he can envisage playing out the rest of his career with the record German champions.
Lewandowski, 30, was linked with a host of European sides during the summer months, but has not looked back since sitting down with head coach Niko Kovac and sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic to iron out his future in July.
"There's a very good chance I'll be here for a long time yet," Lewandowski, whose current deal with Bayern runs until summer 2021, told Sport Bild. "I'm not thinking about going anywhere else. Since putting the rumours to rest, my heart has been 100 per cent with Bayern. I fully identify with the club. I could definitely see myself ending my career at Bayern."

Lewandowski's contentment has been reflected in his performances on the pitch, where he is currently averaging a goal every 97 minutes. The Poland international has hit the net 22 times (10 in the Bundesliga, eight in the UEFA Champions League, one in the DFB Cup and three in the Supercup) in 24 competitive appearances for Bayern so far this season, and is only two behind Paco Alcacer (Borussia Dortmund) and Luka Jovic (Eintracht Frankfurt) in the Bundesliga scoring charts.
The prolific No.9's total tally since swapping Dortmund for Bayern in summer 2014 now stands at an eye-watering 173 goals in 219 appearances in all competitions, while he is only five short of overtaking former Bayern teammate Claudio Pizarro (194 goals in 460 games) as the Bundesliga's all-time leading non-German scorer.
Lewandowski, who claimed the Bundesliga top scorer's prize for the third time last season, resumes his quest for a fourth Torjägerkanone when Bayern travel to Hoffenheim on 18 January 2019.
