Robert Lewandowski became the first player in Bundesliga history to reach double figures after six matches with his strike in Bayern Munich's 3-2 win at Paderborn.
Lewandowski was on target in the 79th minute at the Benteler Arena, and has now found the net at least once in all six of Bayern's league outings so far in 2019/20.
He is the first Bayern player to do so, and only the second league wide after former Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored 10 times in eight successive matches to start the 2015/16 campaign.
"It's an incredible return from Lewandowski," said Bayern teammate Joshua Kimmich, after the match. "Ten goals already - that's serious numbers!"
Lewandowski overtakes Jupp Heynckes, Gerd Müller, Peter Meyer and Lothar Emmerich, all of whom shared the previous best-mark of nine goals in the first six games of a season.
Already the Bundesliga's all-time record non-German marksman (212), the Poland national team captain will move joint-fourth alongside Manfred Burgsmüller in the all-time charts if he scores in Bayern's home game against Hoffenheim on 5 October.
Only Heynckes (220), Klaus Fischer (268) and Müller (365) have netted more in the league's 57-year history.

Before then, however, Lewandowski has the opportunity to close in on the UEFA Champions League's top five all-time list of goalscorers when the record Bundesliga champions take on English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
Bayern's prolific No.9, who was on target in the 3-0 win against Red Star Belgrade on Matchday 1, has scored 54 goals in 81 Champions League appearances to date, and needs three more efforts to surpass Ruud van Nistelrooy (56) in the rankings.
Karim Benzema (60), Raul (71), Lionel Messi (112) and Cristiano Ronaldo (126) complete the current top five.
Lewandowski - who is the two-time defending Bundesliga top scorer, with four Torjägerkanone prizes to his name overall - has scored at least five times in as many full seasons of Champions League football with Bayern.
He struck a career-best 10 times during former club Dortmund's run to the 2012/13 final in at Wembley Stadium, where they lost 2-1 to eventual treble winners Bayern.
All told, Lewandowski has served up 306 goals in 438 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund (103) and Bayern (203).
