RB Leipzig's Dani Olmo scored a tidy fourth goal as Spain saw off Georgia.

The three-time European Champions Spain came from a goal down to see off Euro 2024 surprise-package Georgia and set up a fascinating quarter-final with Germany in Stuttgart on Friday.

Spain 4-1 Georgia
Goals: 0-1
Le Normand (o.g.) (18'), 1-1 Rodri 39' (assist: Williams), 2-1 Fabián Ruiz 51' (assist: Yamal), 3-1 Williams 75' (assist: Fabián Ruiz), 4-1 Olmo 83' (Assist: Oyarzabal)

Spain overcame Georgia twice in Euro 2024 qualifying and the three-time tournament winners were overwhelming favourites to see off Willy Sagnol's side once more in Cologne. Yet Georgia stunned Spain's Iberian neighbours Portugal to reach the knockouts and they were showing signs of causing another upset when hitting the front in this last 16 encounter. When a previously dominant La Roja gave up possession in the 18th minute, Sagnol's team broke. The ball arrived at the feet of Otar Kakabadze on the right and his whipped cross led to Robin Le Normand diverting into his own net. Having conceded their first goal at the tournament, Luis de la Fuente's men went in search of an equaliser. They had it six minutes before the break, with Rodri drilling Nico Williams's cut-back into the corner. Shortly after the restart, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia looked to catch goalkeeper Unai Simón out with a cheeky shot from distance, however, it was Spain who would ultimately take control. Giorgi Mamardashvili did well to repel a Lamine Yamal free-kick but the 16-year-old was there again moments later to lift a pass in for Fabián Ruiz, who couldn't miss from close in. Ruiz then turned provider for Williams, the Athletic Bilbao man slamming home before Olmo confirmed Spain's last-eight date against Germany in Stuttgart with a cool finish.
