Ulreich staying on at Bayern Munich
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have tied down experienced goalkeeper Sven Ulreich until the summer of 2026, after the 36-year-old agreed terms on a one-year contract extension with the Bavarian giants.
Ulreich has enjoyed a highly-successful time at Bayern since arriving at the club from Stuttgart in 2015 to provide support for first-choice custodian Manuel Neuer.
Amassing 103 appearances across all competitions in his nine seasons at the Allianz Arena, the 6'4" shot stopper can boast nine Bundesliga-winning medals and a UEFA Champions League title among his honours list.
"Sven Ulreich is reliability personified: he delivers what he promises - in the truest sense of the word," Bayern board member for sport, Max Eberl, said after the record champions agreed new terms with the Schorndorf native. "Characters like him are good for any team. We're delighted he'll be spending another season with us," Eberl added.
Along with first-choice Neuer, Bayern can also count on the services of Jonas Urbig and Leon Klanac between the posts. The former featured 12 times in Neuer's absence through injury last term. Daniel Peretz, meanwhile, has been loaned to Hamburg for the coming campaign.
