Bundesliga
Thiago Alcantara says the title is Bayern Munich’s to lose after the defending champions moved top of the Bundesliga table for the first time since September thanks to a 6-0 demolition of Wolfsburg.
The Bavarians steamrolled the Wolves at the Allianz Arena on Saturday to record a 12th win in 13 Bundesliga matches. The momentum is firmly on their side, despite rivals Borussia Dortmund’s return to winning ways against Stuttgart, and Bayern’s Spanish midfielder is confident his team can keep BVB at arm’s length in their quest for a seventh straight league title.
“It’s not easy to win the Bundesliga, and this year it’s harder than the last time,” the 27-year-old told bundesliga.com. “We have to go to difficult stadiums and play some good teams, and we have to play well at home.
“But I think we now have the Bundesliga in our hands, and we have to keep it like that to finish first," added Thiago.

The Reds are at the summit by virtue of goal difference - +35 compared to Dortmund's +33 - but have dropped just three points out of the last 36 available.
Bayern host Mainz and travel to Freiburg in their next two league games, while Dortmund travel to the capital to take on Hertha Berlin and welcome Wolfsburg. The top two then face off in Munich on 6 April.
