Bundesliga

Tom Bischof has returned to Bayern Munich's training ground after appendix surgery and took park in team training ahead of the club's meeting with Hamburg. His journey with the record champions looks like it can now finally begin in earnest...
"I believe it's a perfect match," said Bischof in June about his move to Bayern. At that time, he couldn't have anticipated that an appendix operation would sideline him just as the season started.
On Monday, though, he made his comeback, the midfielder returning to the grass at Säbener Straße during the international break and back participating in training with his teammates.
Watch: The best of Bischof
For head coach Vincent Kompany, Bischof's return is a welcome one and he could well be in contention to feature against Hamburg on Saturday.
The 20-year-old has already tasted first-team action at Bayern, making his debut at the FIFA Club World Cup before being brought on as a late substitute in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup victory over VfB Stuttgart prior to his medical difficulty.
Now the former Hoffenheim starlet is nearing a return to action, he will surely be keen to show just how much of a "perfect macth" both the midfielder and his new employers are.
