Bundesliga
After a eight-game winless run in the league, Bo Svensson is leaving Union Berlin as the club have decided to begin 2025 with a new coach.
The former Mainz coach was appointed Union Berlin coach in the summer, with the club staving off relegation under the guidance of interim coach Marco Grote.
Svensson's spell started on a positive note, with Union remaining unbeaten in their first four Bundesliga ties, and losing just once in their first six games - a spell that included a memorable 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at home.
That early momentum faded away, however, with Svensson failing to oversee a win since the end of October.
The Union Berlin board have decided to act now ahead of the start of the New Year.

The club's managing director Horst Heldt released a statement after Svensson's dismissal.
He said, "After a thorough analysis of the season so far, we are convinced that a significant change is necessary to reverse the trend. We have therefore decided not to continue the cooperation with Bo Svensson, Babak Keyhanfar, Kristoffer Wichmann and Tijan Njie.
"We would like to thank Bo Svensson and his team for the work they have done and wish them all the best for the future."
The club have confirmed that a decision will be made on a new coach in the coming days.
