Key stats
Kaboré started his career with Rahimo FC in his homeland of Burkina Faso, before being picked up by Belgian side KV Mechelen in the summer of 2019.
After just one season and five appearances for Mechelen, Kaboré was signed by Manchester City, who then loaned him back to Mechelen for another season where he went on to play a further 29 times. His return from Belgium saw him then spend two years in France, making 61 appearances for Troyes and Marseille, respectively. His experiences there, which included four UEFA Champions League games for Marseille in the 2022/23 season, caught the attention of then newly promoted English Premier League side Luton Town.
Watch: Kaboré joins Werder Bremen
Kaboré made 24 Premier League appearances for Luton, registering two assists, before signing on loan for Portuguese giants Benfica in summer 2024. He made seven appearances in total for the Lisbon side, before joining Bremen on a six-month loan ahead of the second half of the Bundesliga season.
At just 23 years of age, Kaboré already has considerable first-team experience in a variety of leagues. This maturity has seen him collect 40 international caps for Burkina Faso, with his debut coming in a goalless draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2019, when he was 18.
Plays a bit like: Achraf Hakimi
Like Hakimi, Kaboré is an attacking full-back who loves getting forward and whipping in crosses. His speed and physicality also make him difficult to deal with going forward and tough to beat defensively.

Kaboré is international teammates with current Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Edmond Tapsoba. He is set to become the sixth Burkinabé to play in the Bundesliga.
