RB Leipzig's Xavi is set to make his comeback from injury as the Bundesliga resumes this weekend.
The 21-year-old suffered an ankle injury in late October 2024 following a challenge with Andy Robertson in Leipzig's UEFA Champions League defeat to Liverpool.
Xavi had to be carried off by medical staff and was later confirmed to have damaged ligament issue in his left ankle that required corrective surgery.

Leipzig reported that the Netherlands international had resumed full training at the start of this year, and he started the team's 10-0 friendly win over Czech third-division side FK Banik Most-Sous on 6 January, scoring twice before being substituted off at half-time.
Xavi posted two goals and two assists in seven Bundesliga appearances prior to his injury, and his return will be a welcome one for head coach Marco Rose, who has had to deal with a number of high-profile absences from his squad this term, including David Raum, Xaver Schlager, Nicolas Seiwald and Assan Ouédraogo.
Leipzig host Werder Bremen in their first game of 2025 on Sunday, followed by a trip to VfB Stuttgart just three days later.
