Bundesliga
Youssoufa Moukoko etched his name into Revierderby history on Matchday 7 of the 2022/23 season as the Borussia Dortmund teenager continues to make remarkable strides at the Signal Iduna Park.
Moukoko's match-winner was his second league goal of the campaign and saw the 17-year-old become the youngest scorer in Germany's Mother of all Derbies.
It continued what has already been a record-breaking career for the Cameroon-born forward, who is the Bundesliga's youngest player and scorer in its history, while his Germany U21 bow at 16 years and 286 days made him the country's greenest debutant in that age group.
He made his Dortmund debut in November 2020 against Hertha Berlin, just one day after his 16th birthday, and 27 days later, in December, became the league's youngest scorer when he found the back of the net against Union Berlin.

And that's all without speaking to his junior efforts that saw Moukoko obliterate a stack of German youth records by first playing for BVB's U17s at the age of 13, the U19s at 14 and ending up with 127 goals and 27 assists from just 84 appearances with the club's youths
Eight of those happened to come against Dortmund's old rivals, including a hat-trick that sealed a 3-2 win for the U19 team back in 2020 - a habit that hinted at what was to come on week seven of the current campaign.
"I’d dreamed of it," Moukoko told bundesliga.com after settling the Revierderby. "Even at youth level, I’d dreamed of scoring here one day. I hadn’t dreamed of scoring a header, but I’m happy to take it. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep today.”
One thing that may make Moukoko sleep better is that, as his goal sent Dortmund top, reigning champions Bayern Munich were slipping to a first defeat of the season, in Augsburg.
“That’s great, that’s great!” he said after being told of the ramifications of an excellent day for both club and player.

And while expectations have soared at every turn of Moukoko's fledgling career to date, he continues to keep his feet firmly on the ground - even if others outside of his inner circle are getting swept up by his prodigious talent.
Ahead of the new season, he told kicker of the pressure lumped on his young shoulders: "You just have to learn to deal with it. I have people around me who keep saying things. My parents, advisors. I think I can handle it. I have nothing to prove to anyone but myself. That's what I've learned."
The teenager's ascent has come at an alarming rate and, scarily, he can only get better as he continues his education in Dortmund.
There, Edin Terzic has spent the summer looking to replace the goals of Erling Haaland, with Sebastien Haller's illness ruling him out for the foreseeable future and Anthony Modeste yet to hit the ground running.
Instead, it's Moukoko who is leading the way and you need only ask his former teammate and predecessor, Haaland, how good a player the left-footer is.
"Moukoko's much better than I was at his age," Haaland said previously. "I've never seen such a good 15-year-old in my life. The advantage for him is that he's already playing for Dortmund at the age of 15. At his age, I was still playing for my home town of Bryne."
Moukoko now has two goals and an assist from six Bundesliga appearances in 2022/23, with just one of those - the Matchday 1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen - a start.
Based on his Revierderby heroics, and Dortmund's need for a sharper edge at the pointy end of their attack, that could soon change.
"Youssoufa did a great job today, we needed that energy from that bench," said teammate Gio Reyna. "It was an awesome moment for him."

And there's plenty more where that came from. For a player who has already made so much history, Moukoko is only just getting started.
